Paul Mitchell School – Review about Beauty College
At ANY beauty college, students go on the salon floor after about 400 hours of book work and learning the bare bones basics like each cutting angle ONCE on a manikin. So when you go to a school, you can be a students VERY FIRST CLIENT EVER, or by chance, have a more senior student.
Each student gets an equal opportunity to work on walk ins clients regardless of skill level or talent. Advanced students can be requested by name… If you know them. You take a risk. I am an instructor at another top 10 “ivy league” beauty school.
Bottom line, you may get lucky, but ultimately you get what you pay for.
By the way, being licensed doesn’t guarantee talent either… State board is more concerned with safety that we don’t permantly disfigure you or give you an infectious disease. Good luck!
